THE BIBLE TEXT ISSUE NIV Publisher "Also Publishes 'Satanic Bible'" No, the above title is not an error or mistake. Zondervan Publishers "holds the exclusive rights to the NIV." In 1988, however, Zondervan [Publishers] became a division of Harper Collins, one of the world's leading English-language publishers. HarperCollins is part of News American Publishing Group, a division of News Corporation," which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who is "one of the biggest producers of worldwide pornography on the planet." And what is the connection between Zondervan-the NIV publisher and the Satanic Bible? HarperCollins, Zondervan's owner, also publishes the diabolical Satanic Bible, authored by the leading Satanist advocate, Anthony LaVey. The Satanic Bible contains the following statement: "All rights reserved. No part of this book may be used or reproduced without written permission from HarperCollins Publishers, 10 East 53rd Street, New York, NY 10022." The KJV version in James 3:12 has an apt commentary concerning the commercial ties between these two religious "Bibles" and their common bond: "Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? Either a vine, figs? So can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh." God's Promise to Preserve His Word to All Generations The Apr-June 2006 issue of The Dean Burgon Society contained an excellent article presenting the Biblical context of the "summary of the content of Psalm 12, a chapter that contains one of the clearest and strongest arguments for perfect preservation of God's Word. "The article Accepts Ps. 12:7-8 as completely canonical and uses the precise Hebrew words to substantiate the divine preservation claims. The author's conclusion states: "The structure, context and exegesis of the Masoretic Hebrew Text of Psalms 121 all argue forcefully for the promise of the everlasting preservation of the perfect Words of the Lord. This is one of several passages in which the Lord promised to preserve His canonical Words for every generation. Man's ever present words are lies; God's ever present Words are Truth. This the tangible help that the righteous man has in every generation." In the previous paragraph, the writer declared: "The Lord promised to preserve every one and all of His Words for every generation, because every generation will be judged by the canonical Words (i.e., OT & NT) of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord stated this very truth, 'He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my Words hath one that judgeth him: the Word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day’" (John 12:48). A Green Bible or a Red Bible? A new so-called "environmentally friendly" edition of the Bible, called "The Green Bible," has recently been published by Harper Collins. The Bible uses green ink in more than 1,000 passages to promote the environmental activism craze and cause that is sweeping the USA. Originally an agenda of political liberals and theological left-wing apostates who promoted this emphasis as a major player in their earthy social gospel program, this ecological environmental craze is now making strong waves within New-Evangelical circles from organizations, causes and prominent names who desire to be politically correct and desire to become known as "environmentally friendly" advocates. While Bible-believing Christians should be good caretakers of God's creation and not destroy or mutilate His creative handiwork, the Biblical emphasis is not a green socialistic ecology, but a red substitutionary theology! (Lev. 17:11, Eph. 1:7) The Bible's major consideration is not a green environmental thrust but a red expiatory theme (Col. 1:14, Heb. 1:3). The Green Bible is another subtle Satanic endeavor to sidetrack professing saints from the Scripture's central theme of redemption by the blood and replace it with a humanistic social service oriented concept. In this writer's view, it is also highly significant that the "Green Bible" publishers did not use the KJB, but utilized the Critical Text based New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) as the textual underpinning for this commercial venture. |
