RICK WARREN'S COMPROMISING COURSE CONTINUES UNABATED News Article Delineates Saddleback Pastor's Shift from "Church Planting" to Worldwide Social Service Endeavors, as Well as His Slander of Biblical Fundamentalists USA Today (12-11-2008, 9D) carried an extensive article concerning prominent Saddleback Pastor Rick Warren that delineates a drastic emphases shift in his five point worldwide "PEACE" program. According to the article, the "P" in Warren's "PEACE" acronym has been altered from its original "Planting Churches" to a social service oriented "Promoting reconciliation" among competing ethnically diverse political leaders and nations around the world. Warren's five point PEACE "coalition," which he now believes is his great global alliance task, however, bears little or no resemblance to the worldwide task of the Great Commission as given by Christ in Matt. 28:18-20. In place of the Great Commission mandate, Warren is now busily engaged in non-Biblical PEACE social service endeavors such as his recently sponsored "Global Forum on World Health." Disregarding the vital principles of Biblical separation, Warren is willing to work with leaders from virtually every shade of the political, private, public and religious spectrums to achieve his temporal oriented five point PEACE goals. In claiming supposed "evangelical credentials," Warren seems warm toward nearly every religious system except historic Biblical Fundamentalists, maligning and slandering them with his verbal tar brush. Warren says, "What I am not is a Fundamentalist. You become a Fundamentalist when you stop listening." Warren says he is willing to "partner" with anyone on helping the poor. Genuine Biblicist Baptists should avoid all cooperation with Warren's endeavors, concentrating instead on fulfilling the genuine N. T. missionary precepts delineated by Christ in Matt. 28:20-21, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:47, John 20:28 and Acts 1:8 and the example of N. T. believers described in Acts 5:42 where it states that "in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. Lesbian Partners Defend Saddleback Pastor Who Seeks to Minimize Sexual Differences and Create "Bridges" with The Named Perverted Companions In Dec. 2008, the Saddleback Pastor was the featured speaker at the Muslim Public Affair's Council's annual convention in Long Beach, CA. Lesbian singer Meilissa Etheridge was also a featured performer at this conclave. At the conclusion of his speech, Warren stated that he was a "huge fan of Etheridge" and that he possessed "all her albums." After Warren's selection in the Obama Presidential inaugural ceremonies when this participation was severely criticized by homosexual leaders, Etheridge and her "lesbian spouse" who goes by the name of "Tammy Lynn Michaels" and also "Etheridge" both defended Warren stating that they had met with him; that Warren "believed in equal rights for everyone" and that "every loving relationship should have equal protection." Etheridge declared that together, she and Warren were seeking to "build bridges to the future." Warren's comments about "loving relationships" that include ungodly wicked homosexual/lesbian sexual bonds are almost ludicrous in view of the fact that Tammy Lynn Michaels termed her ties with Etheridge as "my lovely gay family." Fellow Evangelicals Criticize Warren's Increasingly Pro-Liberal Sympathies and Views In an article that was published by the Christian Post on Dec. 22, 2008, "AP Religion Writer" Rachel Zoli penned an incisive report entitled "Rick Warren's Biggest Critics: Other Evangelicals." The article indicated that despite Warren's evangelical background, he "holds a different view than his [conservative] roots suggest." The report noted some of the actions/views that Obama holds or has taken that generally differ with fellow professing evangelicals and have caused many of them not to trust him. 1. Warren has spoken out against the use of torture to combat terrorism. [Ed: International terrorists dedicated to mass genocide do not have U. S. constitutional rights.] 2. "He has joined the fight against global warming," [Ed: Global warming is a pseudo-scientific fraud!] 3. He "has put his prestige and money behind helping people with AIDS. [Ed: Warren issues little/no condemnation of the gross sexual sins that produce this deathly disease.] 4. While "many religious conservatives openly condemn Islam as inherently evil," Warren "reaches out to the American Muslim community," While not decrying the following analysis, the CP article noted that Warren's "best seller", The Purpose Driven Life, "partly reflects the self-help ethos of baby boomers." It is thus not surprising the religion writer cited above declared that "many from the Christian right don't trust him." Rick Warren may have some noble motives and objectives, but because of his unscriptural relationships and views, the F.D. editor doesn't trust Warren either! He hopes his readers have sufficient spiritual discernment that they feel likewise. |
