PROPHETIC
FORESHADOWS |
| "With
Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia looking on, Ramazan Abdullah
secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, said all Palestinian
movements have reached agreement on a joint strategy after Israel's evacuation
of the Gaza Strip. Qureia stated: 'This way will continue till full liberation
of Palestine, restoration of the denied rights of the whole Palestinian
nation and briefly speaking, uprooting of the usurper Israeli regime.'"
[Focus, Sept. 2005, p.3]. The above statement is a clearly veiled threat for the annihilation of the state of Israel and the Jews. The current ranting, raving, suicide bombings, acts of violence by Islamic Jihad terrorists and even future massive warfare by anti-Semitic hating nations of the world during the Tribulation period will never succeed in displacing the Jews from their land or exterminating them. To validate his above claim, he is printing the following article that appeared in the Nov.-Dec. 2004 issue of The Everlasting Nation. |

The
Jew in Prophecy
|
|
"During
the Great Tribulation, two thirds of Israel in the land will die (Zech.
13:8-9), But 144,000 will be 'sealed' to survive. God is faithful to his
chosen people. (Jer. 31:10) Israel cannot be destroyed. God says
the Jew is indestructible! Scripture proves this.
1. Egyptians could not destroy him-Ex. 1:15-22. 2. Red Sea could not drown him-Ex. 14:21-31. 3. Persians could not hang him-Esther 5:14, 8:1-2. 4. Fish could not digest him-Jonah 1:17, 2:10. 5. Babylonians could not burn him-Dan. 3:16-28. 6. Lions could not devour him-Dan. 6:1-28. 7. Prophets could not curse him-Num. 23:8. 8. Nations cannot absorb him-Esther 3:8. 9. Dictators cannot annihilate him-Is. 14:1-2. Israel is the "Everlasting Nation." Jehovah promises " though I make a full end of all nations yet will I not make a full end of thee." (Jer. 30:11) God has not cast away His people. (Rom. 11:2) Israel's present blindness is temporary (Rom. 11:25) "until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in." One day the veil over their hearts will fall away, as they turn to the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and a nation shall be born in a day." F.D. Ed: Unbelieving Jews who reject Christ will suffer eternal retribution in the lake of fire just like unbelieving Gentiles. Bible Christians need to proclaim the gospel message to both Jews and Gentiles-Rom. 1:16. All humans alike, including Jews and Muslims, need the saving grace of Christ's atoning work on Calvary-II Cor. 5:15. |

Potential
"Avian Flu" Outbreak Predicted
|
|
A recent AP wire story recently flashed the following article title: "World
on brink of Worldwide Epidemic." According to the story, this killer
influenza, called the "Avian Flu" is "spreading like wildfire
among Asian poultry" and now "has just leaped the 'species barrier'
to humans." The U. S. Center for Disease Control [CDC] stated that
"this is a very high threat."
The potential threat is so serious that the national TV networks spotlighted it in recent evening newscasts in late Sept. 2005. At a special press conference held on the White House grounds on Oct. 4, 2004, U. S. President G.W. Bush frankly stated his serious concerns about the possibility of an Avian Flu outbreak in the USA. In perhaps a frightful moment of exaggerated mental panic, a United National health official predicted the death toll from this potential epidemic could range anywhere from 5 million to 150 million. Hopefully this latest outbreak will be contained and the crises disappear. In Matt. 24:7 and Luke 21:11, Christ himself predicted that shortly before his revelation on earth there would be an increase in "pestilences." While this writer believes that the actual fulfillment of these signs will occur during the Tribulation period, the potential "Avian Flu" pandemic is a prophetic foreshadow of that which is to come. |

New
Anti-Pre-Tribulation Book Series
|
|
1. The "Left
Behind" book/movie/video series by Tim LeHaye and Jerry Jenkins were
and still are popular sellers in both secular and religious outlets. Although
the F.D. editor is a staunch believer in the Pre-Tribulation, Pre-Millennial
return of Christ, he did not endorse that series due to its many
Scripturally defective and conjectural speculations.
To counter this pre-tribulation fiction frenzy, Hank Hanegraaf and Sigmund Brouwer are releasing this month (Oct. 2005) their new Revelation fiction series that denies the Pre-Tribulation Rapture truth, alleging that "most of the events that occurred in Revelation already occurred in the first century." Bible-believing prophecy lovers need to be alerted about this new erroneous series and inform potential purchasers to shun these new books, the first of which is entitled The Last Disciple. |

Jack
Van Impe's Incorrect Claim
|
| 2.
In an Aug. 30, 2005 newsletter, Jack Van Impe alleged that the Rapture
cannot occur until a Jewish Temple is rebuilt on the 38 acre Temple
Mount. Van Impe stated in part, "The rebuilding of the Temple on the
Temple Mount, one of the last unfulfilled prophecies of the Bible, will
clear the way for the Rapture
" While a rebuilt Jewish temple
does have definite prophetic significance during the Tribulation
period (Dan. 9:24-27, Matt. 24:15, II Thess 2:4), there is nothing
in Scripture that states this temple has to rebuilt prior to the
Rapture. It is true that a potential cornerstone has been built and sits on the level ground close to the Temple Mount area. Only God knows at this time whether this stone is the actual cornerstone of the future Tribulation temple. This future temple could be accurately described as "Anti-Christ's temple," for the anti-christ will be the major figure who will occupy it-see verses above. The writer personally believes this temple will be destroyed at Christ's Revelation-Zech 14-and a new larger millennial temple built in a different location-Ezekiel chapters 40-43. Meanwhile, burdened saints should be earnestly looking for the Blessed Hope-Titus 2:13 and seeking to win the lost and fulfill the Great Commission Mandate before the Rapture occurs-Matt. 9:36-38, Matt. 28:18-20, John 4:35 |
